The Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's
Treasury have had before them your letter of the 31st October, accounting for the selection of W. W. Kiddle for the office of Registrar of the Land Office at Hong Kong, and their Lordships have directed me to acquaint you, by the direction of the Duke of Wellington, that they approve of the various conditions on which His Grace proposes to make this appointment as set forth in your letter.
